"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another."
Romans 12:4-5
Sunday Morning Volunteers
Acolytes
Acolytes assist with lighting and snuffing the candles on the alter at the start and conclusion of the worship service. This is one of the many ways our younger congregant members can play a role in the worship service.
Altar Guild
Altar Guild volunteers are responsible for the weekly communion set up for worship services and the post-service cleaning and storage of the elements used in communion. They also change the seasonal paraments on the altar, pulpit and lecturn as needed. Volunteers are partnered and serve for one month, usually twice a year. Complete training is given to new volunteers who will serve with an experienced partner.
Greeters
Greeters stand in the narthex outside the sanctuary doors to offering greeting, hand out bulletins, and provide a warm welcome to visitors.
Nursery Attendants
Nursery attendants provide care to children ages 1-4 in the church nursery during Sunday worship. Nursery attendants are required to get their child abuse clearances, which are free to obtain.
Readers
Readers deliver the Old Testament and Epistle readings during worship.
Ushers
Ushers assist the congregation throughout the worship service by directing communion, assisting with mobility issues, getting hearing devices, and helping as needed.
