Communion Statement

"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take and eat; this is my body.' "

Matthew 26:26

"Welcome to the Table of the Lord!"

“When you eat the bread and drink the cup, you together proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again.” Jesus died for all the world’s forgiveness. Soon He’ll bring all believers to heaven’s feast! “So do not eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in a way that is not worthy of Him. If you do, you will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. A person should take a careful look at himself before he eats the bread and drinks from the cup. Recognize the body of the Lord!” (1 Corinthians 11: 26-29).

Dear friends, we respectfully ask that only Baptized and confirmed members of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations and those with whom we share altar fellowship and have publicly confessed our shared beliefs receive communion. Out of love and concern for your spiritual welfare, and not a desire to be exclusionary, we ask that those who do not yet share this understanding and confession of the Sacrament refrain from communing until they have been instructed in our beliefs regarding this Sacrament, and brought into fellowship with us.

Please see Pastor or an Elder prior to communing with us. If a worshipper should not yet commune with us but wishes to receive a blessing, he or she is invited to come forward and kneel at the rail, with arms folded and hands on opposite shoulders. Alcohol reduced wine is offered for those with health or medical conditions. Gluten free wafers are also available; please notify the pastor/elder before worship. Help us offer you our best care from Jesus! Elders are available to bring communion to your pew during worship if you are unable to approach the rail; please notify an elder before worship.
