Confirmation Class for 6th and 7th Graders - Mondays at 6:30pm, Annex
Confirmation is a public rite of the church preceded by a period of instruction in which baptized Christians learn about the confession, life, and mission of the Christian Church. It is also an important milestone in our faith development. At Faith Lutheran Church, we want our confirmation candidates to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to put their faith into action. To that end, we seek to equip our candidates with a working knowledge of both Scripture and Christian Doctrine. We would love for you and members of your family to be a part of our program! Please contact us for more information.
Faith Lutheran Church prepares 6th and 7th graders for the Rite of Confirmation. Classes are held weekly year-round. We study an overview of the Bible for one year and the Small Catechism another year. Students also prepare a personal faith statement toward the end of their confirmation studies to help them take ownership of their faith. Parents are invited to attend confirmation classes with their students. Lesson summaries are emailed to all confirmation families following each class.
We thank you for allowing us to partner with you in your child’s Christian education. Please know, the door is always open should you ever have a question or concern. If your Confirmation candidate is having any difficulty completing the above tasks, please bring it to Pastor’s/head Elder’s attention so that we can help.
